A Different Kind of Release Day

May 8th just feels different.

The new Mortal Kombat II dropped. AZ released Doe or Die III through Mass Appeal. If you know me, then you already know Nas has been one of my favorite rappers for years, so seeing AZ still move with that same grown-man precision and storytelling after all this time means something to me. It reminds me that longevity still matters. Staying sharp still matters.

And on the same day…

Daughter of Vengeance II officially enters the world.

At the same time, my son graduates tomorrow from UConn.

That part probably hit me harder than anything.

Because moments like this make you stop and realize life really moves in chapters. One season closes while another opens right in front of you. As a father, as a creator, as somebody trying to build something meaningful beyond just quick attention online… this weekend means a lot to me personally.

Before DOV World, before the books, before the long nights writing... it was always about family, growth and legacy.

Amara’s Journey

What makes Daughter of Vengeance special to me is that Amara never feels perfect or untouchable.

She survives. She adapts.

She keeps moving even after trauma, loss, betrayal, and pressure try to break her.

That’s real life.

A lot of us know what it feels like to carry pressure quietly while still showing up every day. That’s why I wanted her journey to feel human underneath all the action and cinematic moments. Beneath the blades, the missions, and the violence is really a story about identity, pain, discipline, survival, and choice.

Not everybody gets to grow up soft.

Some people have to become strong just to survive what life throws at them.

That energy lives all through Daughter of Vengeance II.

Beneath the action and violence is really a story about survival, pressure identity and what happens when pain refuses to die.

Building Something Bigger

A lot of people think books just appear when they finally see the cover online. They don’t see the long nights tightening chapters, redesigning covers, fixing pacing, rereading scenes after work, rebuilding momentum when life gets heavy, and still finding the discipline to keep going.

I never wanted Daughter of Vengeance to feel disposable.

I wanted it to feel earned.

And honestly, this is only the beginning of the saga.

Ghost Routes is coming next, shifting focus toward Kaito and a darker underground world built around systems, patterns, hidden networks, survival, and control. The energy is different from Daughter of Vengeance, but it’s connected through the same DNA — pressure, movement, consequence, loyalty, and the fight to stay human inside systems designed to erase individuality.

I’m excited for people to eventually experience that world too.

What started as a revenge story is slowly becoming a universe built around survival, loyalty, hidden systems and legacy.

Beyond The Books

At the same time, I’m still building beyond writing.

We just introduced the new amber-glass candles through Be Ike-Conic Shop, and I honestly love the direction they’re taking the brand. The look feels mature. Calm. Expensive without trying too hard. Watching ideas slowly become real physical products people can actually hold in their hands is a blessing I don’t take lightly.

Books. Candles. Art. Music. Legacy.

It’s all connected.

That’s really what this entire journey has been about from the beginning.

Not chasing noise.

Building something that can still speak when you’re no longer in the room.

Legacy Never Dies.

Books. Candles. Art. Music. Legacy. I'm not trying to build noise - I'm trying to build something that lasts.
